Adacer, the 2015 male winner of talent search show “Starstruck,” was apprehended by cops after he hit two traffic enforcers of the Metropolitan Manila Development Agency (MMDA) while he was driving in Barangay Olympia, Makati on March 26.
Colonel Rogelio Simon, Makati police chief, said the 19-year-old actor is not yet off the hook as he is now facing another case. He was released recently after posting bail.
He said that Adacer presented two driver’s license to them, saying the other one was fake, and was bearing a control number of a driver residing in Antipolo.
“When he was given a ticket for reckless driving in Rockwell area, he gave his real driver’s license. The second time, when we apprehended him after hitting two traffic enforcers in Barangay Olympia, he presented the fake one which has a different control number,” the police chief said.
“After we verified this to the Land Transportation Office (LTO), we were told that the other ID of Adacer was bearing another driver’s control number. They said that the control number on the faked ID does not belong to Adacer. The driver who owns the control number is a resident of Antipolo,” Simon added.
The Makati police chief said he was told by LTO that the young actor has four records of reckless driving based on their database.
Makati police said Adacer was drunk when they apprehended him.
In an Instagram post, Adacer apologized for what he did in Makati and thanked the two MMDA enforcers for forgiving him.
“First of all I would like to apologize to all the persons who had been adversely affected by this incident. I have apologized to the police and have explained to them that disobeying them was not my intention at all,” he said in the begging of his Instagram post.
