The two victims were identified by police as Rogelio Formelos Castillano, 39; and Michelle Gallova Papin, 34. They are currently recuperating from their injuries at the Ospital ng Makati.

Investigation showed that the incident occurred at around 6 p.m. at the corner of J.P. Rizal and Pertirra Streets in Barangay Poblacion Makati City.

Police said that they chanced upon a commotion at Pertirra Street and saw the two hit-and-run victims being loaded on an ambulance. Adecer was later cornered by pursuing traffic enforcers on N. Garcia Street.

In a video, the suspect said that he did not do anything and refused to get off his vehicle. He also refused to surrender his driver's license and even drove his vehicle backward, hitting a police mobile.

Simon said that Adecer was allegedly under the influence of alcohol since he only kept shouting when they tried speaking to him.

He is currently under the custody of the Makati City Police and will be facing charges of Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Physical Injuries and Damage to Property and Disobedience to Person in Authority.
