Gunned down woman found dead in Taguig

A 34-year-old woman was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds to her body in Taguig City on Sunday evening.

Police identified the fatality as Rahmela Vicente, jobless, resident of Barangay Aguho, Pateros City.

Initial investigation revealed that the body was found in Sitio Ulingan, Purok 3, C6 Road, Barangay New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City at around 10:30 p.m.

Officials from Barangay New Lower Bicutan received a telephone call from a concerned citizen who informed them about a dead woman who sustained gunshot wounds to different parts of her body in the said area.

Police said the woman was found lying face up and clad in a black T-shirt and white shorts.

A team from the Scene of the Crime Operative (SOCO) led by Police Major Jayson Hermina immediately conducted an investigation at the scene.

The body was then brought to Our Lady of Loreto Funeral Homes for autopsy.

Rider arrested for possession of a loaded firearm Saturday, also arrested before for robbery

The motorcycle rider arrested in Marikina City on Saturday for possession of a loaded firearm, was also previously arrested for robbery in the neighboring city, police said Monday.

 

SPO3 Marvin Veloria, case investigator, told the Manila Bulletin in a text message that 35-year-old Mac Santos was previously arrested for a charge of robbery hold-up in Antipolo City recently.

 

Background investigation also revealed that Santos is a member of the “Sigue-Sigue Sputnik” gang, Veloria added.

 

On Saturday night, Santos, a welder, was arrested at a checkpoint along Panorama Street in Barangay Concepcion Dos, Marikina City when the police found a caliber .38 revolver loaded with six live ammunition inside his motorcycle’s compartment. (Jhon Aldrin Casinas)

13-year-old girl found dead in Pasay


A 13-year-old girl was found lifeless in Malibay, Pasay City on Sunday morning.

Authorities did not trace any sign of external injuries on her body, but a black mark around her neck was found.

She was a high school student and resident of Barangay 157, Malibay, Pasay City, investigators said.

In the report submitted to Station Investigation and Detective Management Branch (SIDMB) Chief, Police Major Wilfredo Sangel, the fatality was discovered by the live-in partner of her 23-year-old sister at around 10:00 a.m. on the second floor of their house.

During that time, her sister was managing their store which is just on the first floor.

She immediately rushed to see her sister and found her took her last breath.

Her sister told police that she just recently broke up with her girlfriend. She added that her sister also felt bad for not winning their class election.

After their mother passed away, her older sister turned to be the one looking after her.

Investigators said they are still probing the incident to determine the cause of her death. (Michelle Guillang)

One of the suspects for the cop killed in his own store identified

Investigators have already identified one of the men tagged in the killing of a policeman in his store at Barangay 175, Caloocan City on Friday afternoon.

Police Col. Restituto Arcangel, Caloocan City police chief, said one of the gunmen behind PO2 Cris Robert Castro's killing, was previously arrested, along with three others, in Tondo, Manila for illegal drug charges.

The three alleged perpetrators were reportedly involved in illegal drug activity in areas of Manila, Caloocan, and Bulacan.

Castro, who was assigned at Manila Police District Station 1 (Tondo-Raxabago station), was the investigator who handled the arrested drug suspects' case, Arcangel said in an interview.

The police chief said the three-drug suspects threatened Castro that they would take revenge once they get out of jail.

On Friday afternoon, Castro was shot dead by motorcycle-riding assailants at his sari-sari store while he was keeping watch over his three children.

A witness identified one of the gunmen after they were shown photos of the then-arrested drug suspect.

Arcangel said they already have information on the possible hiding spots of the assailants and they are coordinating with the Tondo-Raxabago police for the perpetrators' arrest. (Minka Klaudia Tiangco)

Construction worker in possession of a knife tucked in his waist arrested by police

A construction worker, roaming the streets with a knife tucked on his waist, was arrested by police in Pasig City Saturday.

Police identified the suspect as Vincent Sanchez, 26, of Barangay Sta. Cruz, Pasig City.

Investigation showed that at around 6 p.m. Saturday, the police received a telephone call regarding a man suspiciously roaming along Maria Clara Street in Barangay Sta. Cruz, with a knife, tucked on his waist.

Police said three policemen were dispatched in the area and placed Sanchez under arrest minutes later. The officers also recovered his 9-inch dagger knife.

When the cops frisked Sanchez, they found a sachet of suspected shabu in his possession, police said.

Four men injured after argument led to stabbing and shooting incident

Four men, including a policeman, were injured after an argument between two men escalated into a stabbing and shooting incident at Barangay Longos, Malabon City on Sunday evening.

Police identified the victims as Renato Mondejer, 55; Arjo Higum, 25; and PO1 Marbert Tibe, 32; and the suspect as Christopher Uciman, 30.

Investigation showed that Mondejer and Uciman were having a heated argument at about 11:35 p.m. when Uciman drew a bladed weapon and stabbed Mondejer on the neck.

Police officers from Police Community Precinct-3, including PO1 Tibe, then responded to the incident.

When Tibe tried to arrest the suspect, Uciman suddenly stabbed him on his left forearm.

To neutralize the suspect, the policeman shot him on his left forearm and left knee.

One of the bullets went through and accidentally hit Higum on his right leg.

The victims and suspect were brought to Tondo Medical Center for treatment.

Four drug users nabbed by cops in Navotas

Four alleged drug personalities who were caught sniffing suspected shabu were arrested by the police in Navotas City on Monday morning.

The Navotas City Police (NCP) identified those arrested as Jay-ar Salilican, 20; Mamerto Manalaysay, 19; Normal Seludo, 26; and Sonny Manlapaz, 41, all residents of the said city.

Investigation showed that the incident happened in Barangay Tangos at around 2 a.m.

The police report added that NCP officers were conducting a foot patrol in the area when they caught the three sitting rounded and in the act of sniffing suspected shabu. This prompted the authorities to arrest the suspects.

Seized from them were five sachets of suspected shabu and other drug paraphernalia.

The suspects and the recovered items are now under the police custody for proper disposition. (Joseph Almer Pedrajas)
