3 die in Ilocos road accidents

By Freddie Lazaro CAMP BGEN OSCAR FLOREN­DO, La Union – Three persons died while one other was hurt in separate vehicular accidents in La Union and Pangasinan on Monday, it was reported here. Police said Rodrigo Runas Sr., 63, a resident of Barangay Gana, Caba, La Union, died due to serious body injuries after his e-bike was hit by a motorcycle driven by Juevin Sarmiento, 18, of Ba­rangay Aludaed, San Juan, La Union, on the national highway in Barangay San Benito Sur, Aringay, La Union. Sarm­iento is recovering at the hospital. Robert Milan, 32, a resident of Barangay Samara, Aringay, La Union, died when he sustained serious injuries after his motorcycle hit a concrete fence beside the road. Yrhin Audres Laran, 20, a resident of Barangay Cabaraoan, Urdaneta City, Pangasinan, died upon reaching the hospital due to his body wounds after his motorcycle bumped an improvised tractor’s trailer on the road in Baran­gay Labit, Urdaneta City, Pangasinan.
