50 CNT Mass Base Supporters in Capiz reaffirm loyalty to government

By Francis Wakefield At least 50 Mass Base supporters of the CPP-NPA Terrorists (CNT) took an oath of allegiance to the government at Sitio Tigpaka Daku, Barangay San Antonio, Cuartero, Capiz on March Wednesday, March 13, 2019. The ceremony was facilitated by the Army’s 61st Infantry (Hunter) Battalion and witnessed by Mr. Ronald Guillermo representing Mayor Tito Mayo; Police Lt. Col. Robert Petate, Chief of Capiz Mobile Force Battalion, and Police Captain Mary Grace Borrio, Chief, Cuartero Police Station. According to Lt. Col. Sisenando Magbalot Jr., the Commanding Officer of the 6th Infantry Battalion, aside from reaffirmation of their commitment to the government, the oath of allegiance also indicates their desertion to the communist terrorist group. Previously, 60 Mass Base supporters from the same municipality also took their oath of allegiance to the government after deciding to renounce and withdraw their support from the CPP-NPA Terrorists last February. “The series of oath of allegiance in Panay is a result of concerted efforts of our Community Support Program (CSP) teams, local government units, other law enforcement agencies and various sectors working together towards attaining genuine peace and progress in the island,”  Magbalot emphasized. For his part, Maj. Gen. Dinoh Dolina, Commander of the 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division stressed that supporters have now finally come into a realization that the CPP-NPA Terrorist is just using them for their selfish and bloody interests. "And, we are still calling on the remaining supporters to do the same to totally make the communist terrorist group irrelevant," he said
