Actress, 3 others nabbed for drugs

By Erwin Beleo CAMP DIEGO SILANG, La Union – The worth 2.5-million nine bricks of marijuana was found from television series actress Roence Santos and her three companions which they were arrested for here Wednesday morning (Feb. 13, 2019) by joint anti-narcotics Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Philippine National Police members of La Union Drug Enforcement Units, and San Juan Police. According to Chief Insp. Silverio Ordinado, Jr. La Union Police Provincial information officer, the bricks, which had a total weight of 25 kilos, were seized aside from the actress Santos, her companions Marty V. Razon, 32, a resident of Langkaan Village Das Mariñas, Cavite; Gary M. Herela,32, from City Homes, Das Mariñas, Cavite; and Mark Dennis V. Norega, 24, a resident of village of San Francisco, Dasmariñas, Cavite. Police also confiscated one piece heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing dried marijuana fruiting tops weighing more or less 2 grams, assorted drug paraphernalia, and their car, a Toyota Fortuner bearing plate number ASA 2328. PDEA La Union Provincial Officer Darnel Bacate, said that they intercepted the car while traveling within the said area after they were informed that the riders on a sports utility vehicle, carried illegal drugs with them. Santos and her companions were put under the custody of the PDEA detention facility and insinuated that they were not into drug trade and claimed that she was harassed by the arresting authorities but the informant insisted they carried with them kilos of marijuana from Cavite which they were allegedly supposed to transport to the towns of San Gabriel and San Juan towns. Santos appeared as a character actress, more recently in the TV drama show, “Kambal Karibal,” “Kystala” and “Boses.”
