IMUS CITY, Cavite --- Confessed shabu user Richard Olivario Alcantara, who claims to be a bishop of the Sacred Order of St. Michael, has never been ordained by the Catholic church.
On Friday, January 25, 2019, Cavite Police Provincial Office director William Segun questions alleged Bishop Richard Alcantara of the Bishop of Sacred Order of Saint Michael after he was arrested during an illegal drug operation at Tagumpay Compound, Tabing Ilog Dagat, Bgy. Alima Bacoor City, Cavite. seized from him is one piece of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystaline substance believed to be a shabu. Also arrested is Perlito Alibay. Rev. Reynaldo G. Evangelista, bishop of Imus (Cavite) Diocese, described Alcantara as “a fake clergy, a fake priest.” Evangelista made the denunciation during an interview at the Bishop’s Residence at the Nuestra Senora La Virgen del Pillar Parish Church or the Imus Cathedral.
Alcantara, a resident of E. Marquez St., Barangay Sineguelasan, Bacoor, was reported ordained at Imus Cathedral earlier. He was also seen officiating Mass at a church and blessing houses and vehicles and baptizing children in Cavite.
He was arrested by police while he was having a pot session with Perlito Bindo Alibay, a 52-year-old fisherman, at Tagumpay Compound, Tabing Dagat, Barangay Alima, Bacoor, last Thursday.
