BAGUIO CITY – The Hotel and Restaurant Association of Baguio (HRAB) gave the 43 couple in a mass wedding a memorable treat during the unveiling of the largest wedding cake on Saturday in this city.

The event is part of the major activities of the 14th edition of the Hotel and Restaurant Tourism (HRT).
HRAB media officer Andrew Pinero said that the group’s third presentation of the largest wedding cake will be a gift to the mass wedding sponsored by the city government and City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSDO) as one of the activities in the celebration of Family Month.
He said the HRAB wants to present unique programs and projects that will continue enticing the residents and visitors to contribute in efforts to sustain the growth of the city’s tourism industry.
The largest wedding cake displayed at the SM Baguio Atrium was much bigger than the previous offerings made by the group, with the height of 24 feet and 24x20 perimeter, made of 700 kilos of unsalted butter, 800 kilos sugar, 18,000 pcs egg. 150 cans of evaporated milk, 30 sacks of all purpose flour, 20 sacks of cake flour, 10 kilos walnuts, 10 kilos baking powder,10 kilos baking soda, 50 kilos of cocoa powder, 18 kilos of ricos powder, 500 kilos of carrots, 10 cans corn oil and 1,500 liters of whip topping.
The 4 tier cake with flavors of chocolate, banana, carrot, and vanilla was sliced by at least 1,500 individuals.
