Member of boy band Spectrum dead at 20

Kim Dong-yoon, a member of rookie K-pop boy band Spectrum and former contestant on the reality talent show “Mix Nine,” passed away on July 27, according to his agency. He was 20. Kim Dong-yoon, who was born on June 3, 1998, became a contestant on “Mix Nine,” a reality TV show aiming to debut an idol group that ran from October 2017 to January this year. After appearing on the show, he debuted last May in the seven-member group Spectrum together with Jaehan, Minjae, Donggyu, Hwarang, Villain and Eunjoon. They released their debut album “Be Born” that featured the carrier song “Light It Up.” A day before his death, the official Twitter and Instagram accounts of Spectrum even uploaded photos of him on July 26.
