By the Associated Press SEOUL, South Korea — South Korea's military says five people died in a helicopter crash at a marines base in the southeastern city of Pohang. A helicopter is hoisted by crane from the East River onto a barge, Monday, March 12, 2018, in New York. The pilot was able to escape the Sunday night crash after the aircraft flipped upside down in the water killing several passengers, officials said. (AP/ MANILA BULLETIN) Seoul's Defense Ministry says the helicopter caught fire Tuesday after it crashed to the ground from about 10 meters (33 feet) in the air. The ministry says one person survived the crash and was being treated at a nearby hospital. The names of the pilots and passengers weren't immediately announced. The ministry says the helicopter was being test-flown after a repair. The military plans to form a committee to investigate the cause of the crash.
