BIÑAN CITY, Laguna - Police killed the two still unidentified notorious robbery-holdup suspects in a shootout after they refused to stop at a checkpoint.

Senior Supt. Kirby John Brion Kraft, director of the Laguna Police Office, said at 3:45 a.m. joint city police and Highway Patrol Group of PRO4A received information about a robbery holdup in the said place.
The suspects declared a holdup at gunpoint, took away a cellphone and motorcycle in the said place, reports said.
Supt. Reynaldo M. Maclang, officer in charge of Biñan City Police, instructed to track down the suspects through Oplan Sita, Oplan Galugad, and checkpoint at the possible exit routes of the fleeing suspects.
Police spotted the suspect’s motorbike that matched the description relayed by the tactical operation center (TOC).
The police officers flagged down the suspect for verification but instead of stopping, the motorcycle driver sped off while the back rider opened fire at the lawmen who chased the suspects and retaliated. At this juncture, the suspects were hit sustaining fatal gunshot wounds and died on the crime scene.
HPG-PRO4A disclosed that they recovered two caliber .38 revolvers loaded with bullets, three sling bag with personal belongings of the suspects and assorted mechanical tools and Suzuki motorcycle.
