A movie about the Marawi siege which happened barely a year ago is set to hit local cinemas on May 30.

According to an article from ABS-CBN News, the movie “Ang Misyon: A Marawi Siege Story” starring Martin Escudero will feature what transpired when the city was laid siege by a band of terrorists.
It follows that tale of a Muslim registered nurse Sajid Tumawil, played by Escudero whom the military later found out to be a member of the terrorist group.
The movie directed by Caesar Soriano, also has the following movie personalities: Rez Cortez, Lou Veloso, Tanya Gomez, Darius Razon, Jordan Castillo, Mia Mendiola, Cloyd Robinson, Jack Falcis, Chamberlaine Uy, John Michael Wagnon, Tim Sawyer, China Roces, Al Flores and Juan Miguel Soriano.
