Initial information showed that the fire started at the mezzanine of a restaurant located at the ground floor at around 1 a.m.
In a report from ABS-CBN News, one of the employees said that they were busy preparing themselves for the expected increase in the number of customers for Mother’s Day when they started to smell smoke.
At first they couldn’t tell where the smoke was coming from until the fire got bigger making it necessary for firemen to respond to the scene.
Firefighters from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) eventually got to the scene and put the fire out 30 minutes after it started.
There was no one reported hurt or killed in the fire.
