Powerful forces behind 2nd Eddys

The Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd) has joined hands with big entities for the much-awaited 2nd Eddys (Entertainment Editors’ Choice) in July.

Globe Studios is the major presenter of the awards night that gives nods to quality films, superb acting performances and creative excellence for the year 2017.
The 2nd Eddys is being produced by the fastest growing FM station, Wish 107.5.
Before the awards night comes Nominees Night on June 3 at 5 p.m. at Valencia Events Place. The event is co-sponsored by the FIlm Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), headed by Chairman Liza Dino.
Right after the awards night, the stars will attend the after-party event called The Mega Eddys Ball, headed by OneMega Group.
There will also be a special screening of two nominees in this year's Best Film category. These are "Deadma Walking" an "Birdshot" at Cinematheque Center Manila on May 26 and 27, both at 6 p.m.
A two-day filmmaking seminar-workshop presented by SPEEd, FDCP and Globe will be held for film enthusiasts. The activity is in line with the telecom company's “play it right” anti-piracy campaign.
May 26 (9 a.m.- 12 noon) is devoted to tackling Musical Score with resource speaker Teresa Barrozo; and Sound Design (2 p.m. - 5 p.m.) with Immanuel Verona.
May 27 (9 a.m.- 12 noon) is about Acting under Anthony Falcon; and Cinematography (2 p.m. - 5 p.m.) with Rain Yamson II.
The 2nd Eddys will be directed by Paolo Valenciano.
