Education Secretary Leonor Briones exhorted the first batch of senior high school (SHS) graduates this school year to “help create a better, happier, and more hopeful country” whatever the path they chose.
Briones gave her message during the First Joint SHS Graduation Exercises of Don Pablo Lorenzo Memorial High School and Maria Clara L. Lobregat National Senior High School held recently at the Zamboanga City Coliseum where around 700 SHS students graduated.
“Go out into the world and be good citizens of this country,” Briones said. “We look forward to the time you’ll create a better world for your fellow Filipinos, especially for those who are not wearing their togas the way you are wearing yours today…go with all our hopes and love.”
