Sunland Development Corp. recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for its fourth addition under the brand Hotel 99 scheduled to open during the second quarter of 2019 in Muntinlupa City.
Following the success of its three hospitality hubs in the metro, the developer aims to provide patrons with future-proof technologies and amenities comparable to a branded hotel.
The ceremony was attended by, from left: Designer Cris Ocampo, Architect Simon Tan, Dr. Lam How Din, President and CEO Richard Lim, Kimberly Lim, Director Kevin Richard Lim, Arturo Brondial and Engr. Ruel De Luna.
The new hotel will have 144 rooms, a rooftop bar overlooking the city skyline and ample basement parking for the convenience of patrons.
Along with this development is another upscale hotel under the three-star brand 8 Red Hotel which will soon rise in Cubao, Pasay, Coron, Davao, Cebu, Marikina, North EDSA, Muñoz and Makati City.
“We believe every hardworking Filipino deserves the lap of luxury even on a small budget. The Filipino lifestyle is becoming more dynamic and the hospitality industry needs to keep up with the changing behavior of its market,” said Sunland President and CEO Richard Lim.
He added that the goal is to create 15 budget hotels with its own commercial complex within the next five years as an answer to the growing demand for affordable yet sensible accommodations.
Two branches in Cubao and Pasay under the brand Red Hotel, a sister company of Hotel 99, will open this year.
