JPV Marikina defeats Global Cebu

By Rafael Bandayrel JPV Marikina started off their 2018 Philippines Football League campaign on a high note, defeating Global Cebu last Saturday at the Marikina Sports Center. JPV got a big boost from new recruits Japanese Keigo Moriyasu and Ryuki Kozawa. Moriyasu scored at the 13-minute mark while Kozawa's goal at the 75th minute put the game out of reach. Dom Del Rosario scored the lone goal for Cebu at the 88th minute mark. Meanwhile, James Younghusband netted two goals in a span of seven minutes in the second half, helping the Davao Aguilas salvage a 2-2 draw against Kaya Iloilo at the Davao Del Norte Sports Complex.
