The glamor of working for the airlines and the excitement of traveling around beautiful places in the world have always been primary attractions for those envisioning a career in the airline industry. But for young and purpose-driven women like Nicole Kris E. Domalanta, and Meryll D. Peralta, flying the skies symbolizes their determination in taking control of their destiny – of serving a deeper purpose and passion to make a difference, of taking limitless opportunities while navigating through life’s turbulence.
Peralta, a WCC scholar/cum laude, revealed that the idea of “flying” made quite an impression on her even as a child. “I discovered my love for the airline industry at an early age, I already knew what I wanted to become a cabin crew when I grow up. I always admire planes, pilots, and cabin crews. I see the airport as my happy place,” she said.
Brimming with the same enthusiasm, Domalanta expressed that her fascination also challenged her to set out on her goal. “Growing up from a poor family, I could only admire and dream of being in the different places that I see on social media. But being someone who wouldn't give up easily on a dream, I really pushed aside these so-called boundaries to follow my purpose,” she remarked.
Armed with determination and with the encouragement of their families, both Domalanta and Peralta began to weave their careers at WCC Flight Attendant School (WCC FAS) in Sikatuna Village, Quezon City where they took up the 45-day Flight Attendant Course Program, an airline-based curriculum that is accredited by TESDA. To date, WCC FAS is the first and only TESDA-registered Flight Attendant School in the Philippines with Boeing 737 cabin door trainer, slide trainer, a Binalonan Airfield tour and jungle survival training. Designed to bring out the fullest potentials of their students, the program offers top-notch practical flight training for aspirants aiming to become part of the world’s best airline hospitality workforce.
To date, WCC FAS ranks as a leading provider of highly trained cabin crew who are now employed with international airlines like SAUDIA, Qatar Airways, Emirates Airlines, Kuwait Air, Royal Brunei Air, Air Atlanta and Oman Air, as well as with the top domestic air carriers.
Established in 2006, the WCC FAS is under the umbrella of WCC Aviation Company, Inc., a leading player in the aviation industry which runs its own airfield, flight simulators and aircraft. Focused on harnessing the natural potentials of learners, the school’s primary objective is to provide trainees with knowledge, skills, values and character formation required to prepare them as highly competitive cabin crew members. To date, the WCC Flight Attendant School has transferred to a bigger and better facility – with an Economy and First-Class mock cabin, a personality development room with a five-feet lighted vanity mirror, an eight-feet deep swimming pool for water survival training, and uses LED monitor for teaching presentations.
