Gallup Korea has released its annual list of the most favorite Korean singers and idols in 2018.
The polling firm surveyed 4,200 Koreans between ages 13 and 59 in July, September and November.
BTS emerged as the top pick for favorite singer, getting 24.4 percent, followed by TWICE (11 percent), IU (10.2 percent), Hong Jin-young (8.8 percent) and Wanna One (8.2 percent).

Red Velvet placed sixth with 7.8 percent followed by BLACKPINK (7.6 percent), trot singer Jang Yoon-jung (7.2 percent), Lee Seung-chul (6.1 percent) and Cho Yong-pil (5.5 percent).
Last year, IU topped the list.
For favorite songs in 2018, BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” is No. 1 with 5 percent followed by BTS’ “IDOL” (4.4 percent) and “Fake Love” (4.1 percent), Hong Jin-young’s “Good Bye” (3.4 percent), Jin Sung’s “Station in Andong” (3.3 percent), BTS’ “DNA” and Yoon Jong-shin’s “Like It” (3.2 percent) Kim Yeon-ja’s “Amor Fati,” and “Red Velvet’s “Red Flavor” and IU’s “Through The Night” (2.9 percent).
Gallup Korea also polled 1,501 respondents aged 13 to 29 to pick their favorite Korean idols of 2018.
BTS’ Jimin emerged on top with 12.8 percent followed by BLACKPINK’s Jennie (12.2 percent), IU (11.9 percent), Red Velvet’s Irene (10.4 percent), Wanna One’s Kang Daniel (9.1 percent), TWICE’s Nayeon (6.7 percent), BTS’ Suga (6.2 percent), BTS’ Jungkook (5.4 percent), BTS’ V (5.2 percent) and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo (4.8 percent).
