Some people say behind every successful woman is a supportive man---just check out their Instagram accounts.
It’s true for Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and her boyfriend of six years, Clint Bondad who was a member of “ASAP” Cover Boys along with Tommy Esguerra, Albie Casiño, Luis Hontiveros, and Tanner Mata.

On Sept. 16, 2016, Clint posted a picture of the model-singer on his Instagram account captioned “I know you would never post pictures like this!”
“The lady that keeps me sane, grounded and that I never deserved.
I love you,” the caption read.
He then encouraged his followers to go to his girlfriend’s Instagram account and follow her journey in preparing for the Miss World Philippines.
When Catriona bagged the title, Clint posted a short video clip of Catriona slaying the Question and Answer portion. In the background, Clint can be heard cheering his girl on.
“And noticed how she finished her answer PERFECTLY before the ending sound?? How??” Clint pointed out in the caption.
The next day, Clint posted a photo of him with Catriona wearing the Miss World Philippines crown and sash.

“I look like SUCH a fan boy... Omg, my only picture with you @catriona_gray and I look like this! Haha,” his caption read.
Of course, Clint was with Catriona when she flew to Washington, DC for the Miss World 2016 pageant. He actively shared the talent previews of the beauty queen, as well as the links where fans could vote for Catriona.
“Hey lets support this angel! Instructions below! Honestly @catriona_gray is doing so well! She truly is in her element now. Intelligence, heart and class. We are so proud! And on a side note: She truly is a hard worker. I know she will rock it!," one of his post read.
Clint had no qualms appealing to “all Filipinos and supporters worldwide” to “please vote for our very own Miss World - Philippines 2016 Catriona Elisa Gray for the People’s Choice award of the Miss World 2016 pageant” as it’s “time to settle for the no. 1 spot guys, not just for the top 2 placement in the online voting.”
When Catriona joined Binibining Pilipinas early this year, Clint was right with her.
He even re-posted the post of Catriona announcing her new journey. Clint attached it with a caption: “Nothing but focus and intelligence. How exciting this is! This is literally writing history. Everyone is so proud of you! And of course I can’t be more proud of you @catriona_gray.”
On final nights, when Catriona bagged the Miss Universe Philippines title, Clint wrote on Instagram how his girlfriend “absolutely stood out and literally made history by being the first Filipina ever to hold Miss World Philippines (2016) and now Miss Universe Philippines (2018) title.”
“On top of that, (she) even won the most major special awards ever in the later,” he added.
“I’ve always said you are extremely smart and sharp! Now everyone literally knows that I wasn’t exaggerating. I swear you are the most intelligent and amazing woman I have ever met,” he continued. “You are like a diamond. You don’t crack under pressure because it was part of your creation. I LOVE YOU! MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2018. CONGRATSSS @catriona_gray.”
Clint was in Bangkok with Catriona from the Miss Universe 2018 preliminary competition onward. He was happiest pointing out that “this time I am not shouting alone!” referring to the presence of Catriona fans in Thailand.
Hours before the finals, he posted a candid photo of Catriona saying in jest that “Steve Harvey is going to joke later about crowning Miss Philippines correctly this time making her Miss Universe. Therefore completing the cycle.”
Clint was so confident of Catriona’s win that in a recent video he uploaded, which showed Harvey announcing the winner, the caption read “I seriously didn’t take any video ’till the final moment because I knew I wouldn’t need to film anything before that!”
“I won’t say anything anymore here in the caption... We are drained. Will let the video speak for itself. Sorry for the swearing. Thank you,” he ended.
Well, it’s not as if Catriona isn’t the same to him. On May 3, 2015, a post showed Catriona and Clint watching the fight of Manny Pacquiao in a computer store together.
Soulmate?
Fans are curious how the romance started.
In one of Clint’s Instagram post two years ago, he finds it amusing how they met considering they grew up in different sides of the world.

Note that the Scottish-Filipina beauty queen was born in Cairns, Australia.
They met inside an elevator.
“Even funnier thing is, we actually met before our commercial in 2012. It was in Baguio in a tiny hotel elevator... as I was extending my hand to introduce myself and was about to say my name with a low and slow voice, she suddenly took my hand I shook it with such surprising confidence and a smile that I totally lost my game in that moment...,” he remembered.
“I giggled a little right after she left the elevator before me because she didn’t give me that extra attention that I was expecting and desperately trying to get from her... My agent who was with me in the elevator just rolled his eyes noticing my attempt. Well, later on we met again of course at a casting... and we both got the job!”
That year, because they seldom talk about the beginning of their love story, some netizens started spreading rumors about it.
To which Clint responded (on Instagram, of course): “Who cares as long as you know what’s true and are eating ice cream together like kids in kindergarden.”
Clint claimed he and Catriona has “never” had a fight in the four years they’ve been a couple at the time.
“We always were honest to each other with our feelings. Told our secrets to each other and kept it that way even with ALL the new secrets that had to be shared,” he pointed out. “The same with ideas, dreams, fears, plans, and other simple stuff. It’s a little like a software update for your computer. It keeps you updated & connected. And protected from a virus.”
“We tend to do it on our first dates and then say the ‘fire’ has dimmed down, but that is only because we stopped sharing with our partner and have stopped ‘updating.’ When that happens, your system has a virus and it slowing down all processes,” he added.
Clint noted each of them care for the other more than they do for self.
“I don’t believe in fighting in a relationship. It is a waste of energy and shouldn’t be used as an output of someone’s build up stress. It would make me sad thinking of a fight. She is my life partner, making her happy makes me a thousand times happier... and the other way around,” he wrote in a post.
‘Ultimate travel buddy’ and foodmate
The two love traveling and the beautiful photos they post online show it.

Based on their Instagram posts, they've been to places as Hong Kong and Germany. At the famous Eiserner Steg (Love Bridge), they left their own padlock too.
In the Philippines, their photos online show they’ve been to San Agustin Church in Intramuros, Thunderbird Resort Poropoint La Union, Amarela Resort in Panglao Island, Bohol, as well as the Calle Crisologo in Vigan, among other places.
Catriona and Clint can pig out like crazy when they want to. They like bread, ice cream, burger, and pizza.
As anyone would've guessed by now, friends and lovers---that's what Clint and Catriona are.

Clint said so in greeting Catriona last Valentine’s Day with this sweet message.
“You are the one person in my life who I would die for a million times but resurrect one million and one times just to make sure that I give you everything that I have and become even more then I am. You are my life’s biggest motivation. I love you,” his post read.
For their anniversary this year, he recalled how everything fell into place for them.
“Funny we never realized that our anniversary was on the Independence Day of the Philippines. Ironically however is that we instead lost our independence... but won an amazing journey together that I personally wouldn’t exchange for anything,” he began his post.
“@catriona_gray you have given me an amazing six years. You supported me literally in my weakest moments but also kept me from becoming a complete idiot. You are the woman that a kind of man like me needs. Strong, viciously intelligent and not afraid to speak up. The last five years with you have been the best that could have happened to me. You literally saved my life... I love you my star,” he ended his post.
