16 state prosecutors appointed

By Jeffrey Damicog Sixteen state prosecutors have been appointed for the Department of Justice (DOJ). Senior Deputy Executive Secretary Menardo Guevarra announces during a press briefing in Malacañang that the matter concerning the closure of the resorts in Boracay is currently one of the top priorities that are being discussed by the cabinet citing that it would not only concern the environmental aspect of the issue but the economic impact as well. (TOTO LOZANO/PRESIDENTIAL PHOTO / MANILA BULLETIN) Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra announced that Malacanang released the appointments just this Monday for the new prosecutors. Guevarra said the appointments include new Quezon City Prosecutor Vimar Madridano Barcellano. Among the new appointees, Guevarra said that Jinky Patagan Dedumo has been designated to his office as Senior Assistant State Prosecutor. Also with the same rank, Alona Aglay Luyun has been appointed as Senior Assistant Provincial Prosecutors for the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor of Cagayan. Apart from Luyun, also appointed to the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor of Cagayan is Erwin Eloi Balneg Lasam as Assistant Provincial Prosecutor. Others who have been appointed as Assistant Provincial Prosecutors are Vicente Padilla Managuelod for the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor Isabela; Serafin Latorre Ramento Ramento IV, Leyte; and Tessa Mar Roble Tapangan, Cebu. Also named as Assistant Regional Prosecutor in Cagayan De Oro City is Joseph Edwardsam Abarrientos Eullaran. Those who have been named as Assistant City Prosecutors are Cherry Tacbas Sumaoy for the Office of the City Prosecutor of Iligan City; Allen Montenegro Gasulas, Tandag City; Cristine Cosadio-Umahag, Bacolod City; Hazel Miranda-Caraballe, Cebu City. Also designated as Associate Provincial Prosecutors are Fatima San Pedro Eugenio for Office of the Provincial Prosecutor of Sultan Kudarat; Jonard Manuel Doria, Nueva Vizcaya; Kristofferlean Amba Miole, Bukidnon; and Den Ryan Resullar Cagas, Surigao Del Norte.
