Pinay singer secures spot on 'X Factor Romania' live shows

Another Filipina is making a name for herself in the international stage. Bella Santiago, who hails from Dasmariñas, Cavite, advances to the live shows of “The X Factor Romania,” making her the first ever Filipino to do so. On the singing competition’s recent episode, Santiago belted out Bonnie Tyler’s 1983 hit “Total Eclipse Of The Heart,” outshining Christian Sanda in the Duel round. BELLA SANTIAGO BELLA SANTIAGO mitted she had a hard time choosing between the two singers because both are really good. “It was fantastic. I have no words!” Matache said. Judge Stefan Banica Jr. added, “Applause for both contestants. That is what I call a duel! You chose two well-known pieces and my favorite ones. It was a risk for you, Christian. The difference is you’ve shown a different side of you. Bella showed a different kind of artistry. You have two extremely competitive contestants.” Sanda, on the other hand, expressed his admiration for the Pinay singer. “Bella is a complete package, has an amazing voice, her stage presence. I am speechless. She knows her body very well,” he said. Santiago’s performance is now uploaded on YouTube. As of press time, the video already reached more than 544k views. She also ranked more than 4.4 million views for her audition clip and 1.7 million views for the four-chair challenge. One of the judges of “The X Factor Romania” even compared her to Beyoncé with her energetic performances. Santiago is one of eight contestants to perform on the live show on Dec. 9.
