Nonong de Andres passes away at 71

Character actor Nonong de Andres, popularly known as “Bangkay”, passed away on Tuesday morning. He was 71.

(FACEBOOK/ MANILA BULLETIN) The news of de Andres passing was confirmed by his nephew Paolo Capino on Instagram. "Please pray for the eternal repose of the soul of my Tito Nonong who passed away early this morning," wrote Capino. Capino said that the actor has suffered emphysema and other illnesses before he passed away. De Andres appeared in several horror-comedy films such as “Balandra Crossing”,“Goat Buster”, and “Estibador”. In 2014, he played the character of "Bangky" in hit primetime series "Forevermore," which starred Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil.
