Gray's PAL flight PR 730 to the Land of Smiles was delayed. But upon her arrival in Thailand, cameras clicked while fans surrounded her for selfies, based on social media posts. She was dressed in a black and green Thai-inspired outfit created by Anthony Ramirez.
"Mabuhay! Had the warmest welcome from supporters at the airport in Bangkok. Thank you so much for everyone who came out to show me their love today. We're in Thailand," said Gray on Instagram.
The first official function for the 95 candidates of the 67th Miss Universe pageant will be the Welcome Gala Dinner on Monday, Dec. 3.
The Bicolana beauty queen also said that she is thrilled to be reunited with her parents in Thailand soon.
"Venturing off on an adventure of a lifetime and my thoughts turn back to the people who believed in me since the very beginning. Mum and Dad, thank you always for lifting me up and guiding me to become the woman I am today. I love you both so much. See you in Thailand," says the Filipino-Australian beauty queen.
The grand coronation of the 2018 Miss Universe beauty contest will be held on Dec. 17. US television personality and author Steve Harvey resumes his hosting duties for the prestigious pageant. Pop singer-composer Ne-Yo, who popularized the songs "So Sick," "Sexy Love," "Mad," etc., will be the guest performer during the finals.
