Six road sections in two cities in Metro Manila will undergo road repair works over the weekend, the Department of Public Works and Highways said.
In an advisory, the department said it will continue with its concrete reblocking and repair of six road sections Quezon City and Pasig City.
Roadworks in Quezon City, according to Regional Director Melvin Navarro, will include Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA), southbound directions from Scout Albano to near Shell Gasoline Station, beside sidewalk; and from Scout Borromeo, near GMA 7, second lane from the sidewalk; and at the northbound direction fronting Northstar Motor Corporation, first lane from the sidewalk.
Road reblocking and repair will also be implemented at the northbound direction of Batasan Road from near Civil Service Commission Central Office, fourth lane from center; and the trucklane on the northbound direction of Mindanao Avenue from Mindanao Tunnel to Old Sauyo Footbridge.
Further, in Pasig City, the weekend road repair works will cover the southbound directions of Circumferential Road 5 (C-5), from beside SM Aura, fourth and fifth lane from median; and from before the approach of Pasig Boulevard to C-5 flyover.
Roadworks will start at 11 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. of Monday, November 26, Navarro said.
Motorists are advised to take possible alternate routes as heavy flow of traffic along the affected areas is expected, Navarro added.
