MALVAR, Batangas - The Batangas Provincial Tourism, Culture and Arts Office (PTCAO) has slated the Batangas Festival to commemorate the province’s 437th founding anniversary on December 8.

Batangueños will celebrate the foundation day for the first time in Malvar town which was named after the Filipino hero, General Miguel Malvar.
The festivities will adopt the theme ‘Live, Study, Work and Have Fun in Rich Batangas’.
Atty. Sylvia Marasigan, PTCAO head said the event will be organized by the Batangas Tourism Council headed by Juan Lozano in partnership with FAITH Colleges, Lima Park Hotel and The Outlet at Lipa of the Aboitiz Land with support from of Steel Asia Manufacturing Corporation, Science Park of the Philippines, Universal Robina Corporation, Mary Mediatrix Medical Center, Hamilo Coast, Liberty Builders and Development Corporation and Central Azucarera Don Pedro Inc.
Governor Hermilando Mandanas will lead the awarding ceremony for outstanding Batangueños in the field of arts and culture including national artist Ryan Cayabyab.
The governor will also be conferring the BRAVO Awards - Batangas Recognition Award for Verde Passage’s Outstanding Marine/ Mangrove Protected Areas and Bantay Dagat.
The celebrations will also be perked up by hourly street and stage performances by Batagueño solo artists and performing groups, an outdoor Art Walk displaying artworks of Grupo Sining Batangueño, trade fair that will showcase products from different municipalities including organic produce of the farm tourism groups and BRAVE (Batangas Rave) party.
