Cops get year-end bonus

By Francis Wakefield The Philippine National Police (PNP) has released a total of P7, 011,056,073.55 allotted for the 2018 yearend bonus of 191,619 active duty uniformed and non-uniformed PNP personnel nationwide.

(MANILA BULLETIN) The PNP Finance Service said the yearend bonus has been credited to individual ATM payroll accounts of each PNP personnel with the Land Bank of the Philippines. The yearend bonus represents the equivalent amount of one-month basic salary and the mandated P5, 000 cash gift from the national government. PNP chief, Director General Oscar Albayalde however said the release of yearend bonuses is deferred to PNP personnel with pending administrative and criminal cases as part of the PNP disciplinary policy. Meanwhile, Albayalde said he hopes that every policeman is happy especially with Christmas fast approaching. Albayalde made the remark as part of his early Christmas wish for 2018 following the traditional lighting of the Christmas tree and lanterns inside Camp Crame, Quezon City, Thursday night. "Sana nga although iyung pasko palaging masaya naman iyan. In fact me personally ang pinakamasayang season sa ating buhay ay tuwing sasapit ang pasko (I hope so although every Christmas it’s expected that we are happy. In fact me personally the happiest season in our lives is when Christmas arrives)," Albayalde said. "At sa ating kapulisan ako ay bumabati ng (To our policemen, I greet you all an) advanced Merry Christmas) sa inyong lahat. At sana always kahit hindi pasko ay manalig tayo sa Diyos at magpasalamat tayo sa mga blessing ng binigay ng ating Panginoon sa atin (And hopefully even if it’s not Christmas we continue trusting God and thank him for all the blessings that he gives us)," he added.
