DAVAO CITY - The city government announced Thursday that Davao City and Jinjiang City inked a Sister City Agreement in Jinjiang, China.

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte signed the agreement with Jinjiang Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Committee Chair Liu Wenru, who represented the Municipal Government of Jinjiang at the Fliport Hotel Jinjiang last November 13.
The agreement aims to establish the two city’s cooperation in the fields of education, science and technology, tourism and culture, trade and commerce, and health and wellness.
Jinjiang is Davao City’s second sister city in the People’s Republic of China and its eighth international sister city. Davao City also has sisterhood agreement with Nanning City.
Four Memorandum of Understanding documents were also signed between the businessmen of the two cities, including a Tourism Exchange Agreement on a Davao City-Jinjiang direct flight.
