Shanela Michaela Ngo, photo hobbyist and a freshman college student of the Far Eastern University sent in the sunset photo titled “Coming of Dusk.” “This photo was taken during our Art Tour in Art Appreciation,” she writes. “I was fascinated with the beauty of the setting sun at the Lakeside Park in Wawa, Angono. It has a beautiful hue of color in it. I want to share this photo so that people would know how beautiful sunsets can be, and I hope that they can appreciate it.” Shanela was a photojournalist in senior high school at the Philippine Cultural College–Caloocan. From Rinalyn Aiza Loyola, a senior BS-Psych student of the Laguna State Polytechnic University, San Pablo City Campus is the landscape with rainbow photo, “San Pablo Escape from Tayak Hill, Rizal.” She shares: “I started loving photography when I was in third year high school. And I want to continue my passion.  I have already joined a photo contest. But I'm still not good enough. That's why I want to enhance my knowledge more about photography.” The untitled close-up photo of a hermit crab comes from Dyna Parasdas. Dyna has been shooting and developing her hobby in her free time for a year now. Tam Padullon, graphic artist, budding entrepreneur, and street photographer submitted the black-and-white photo titled “Live, Love, Learn.” His photo comment reads: “We are the product of our past, but we don't have to be prisoners of it. There are no regrets in life, just lessons learned. Look forward with hope. Love without limits.” Mark Wynn Combo, a public high school teacher from Cardona, Rizal contributed the fiesta photo, “Age is Just a Number, Dance!” The photo was taken during the Sapao-An Festival 2018, a street dancing in honor of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary in Cardona. Jay-Rness Ceria shares “Over the Horizon,” taken in Buguias, Benguet. He also shares recent developments in his “photo career.” Writes Jay-Rness: “I enrolled recently in a personal development program which pushed me to pursue my passion in photography. It paved the way to my first exhibit on June 13 and together with another photographer, we are planning to launch another exhibit for the benefit of rice farmers in Mindanao. I also created a simple website for my portfolio, The Vibrant World, which is still under construction but already running.” Gab Bantay, a photo enthusiast and a fresh graduate of BSE-MAPEH from Bataan Peninsula State University sent in the untitled fiesta photo of street dancers. He took the photo during the Palis Lasa Festival in their barangay in Mabatang, Abucay, Bataan. His photo description reads: “Palis Lasa Festival is an agro-religious festival held every 9th of September. During the festival, participants adorn themselves with colorful costumes accented with Palis Lasa (Tiger Grass/ Walis) and grace themselves around the barrio with their joyful dances. The parish also holds a thanksgiving mass in honor and to give thanks to San Antonino ng Florencia, the patron of the parish.” Clemente Gabion sent in the photo titled “Kapit Ka Lang Mahal.” About the photo, Clemente writes: “On the bicycle are a couple who visited their relative in a cemetery on Nov. 1, where the woman protected her husband from the heat of the sun and the husband asked her to keep holding his waist to protect her from falling.” The black-and-white photo, “Underpass in Recto, Manila” comes from John Leo Mojako Ocenar.
