Both the Sandiganbayan Third and Fifth Divisions have given former Makati City Mayor Jejomar Erwin "Junjun" Binay the green light to travel to Hong Kong with his kids from November 16 to 19, 2018.

The courts granted in open court his motion for authority to travel on Friday. In his motion, Binay Jr. explained that his daughter, Maria Kennely Binay, was qualified to be part of the Club Gymnastica Pasig Inc. delegation that will compete at the Hong Kong Gymnastics Carnival from November 17 to 18.

Binay Jr. wanted to accompany his daughter, who is a minor, in this event. While there, the rest of his kids - Jejomarie Alexi, Maria Isabel, and Jejomar III - will all be tagging along to enjoy a short vacation.

The Binays will visit Hong Kong Disneyland for a one-day trip on November 16 before the event takes place. They will be staying at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel before moving to the Gateway Hotel, Marco Polo located at Tsim Sha Tsui from November 17 to 19.

Binay is facing two counts of graft and one count of malversation before the Third Division in relation to the phase three of the overpriced P2.2 billion Makati City Hall parking building contracts. In these charges, the younger Binay is the co-accused of his father, former vice president Jejomar Binay who also served as Makati city mayor.

He has also been slapped with four graft and three falsification charges before the Fifth Division due to his involvement with the procurement of several items for the reportedly overpriced P1.3-billion Makati Science High School building.
