DLSU-Dasmarinas, Cebu Institute of Medicine, SLU-Baguio, UST, UP top 5 in medical board exams

By MB Online The Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) announced Tuesday that 3,717 out of 4,542 passed the Physician Licensure Examination (PLE) given by the Board of Medicine in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu and Davao in September 2018.

The members of the Board of Medicine who administered the licensure examination were Dr. Eleanor J. Galvez, chairman; Dr. Edgardo T. Fernando, Dr. Eleanor B. Almoro, Dr. Ma. Graciela Garayblas-Gonzaga and Dr. Clarita C. Maaño, members. Kurl Eduvas Jamora, a graduate from the De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute in Dasmariñas, Cavite, topped the September 2018 Physician Licensure Examination with a rating of 91.08 percent. Following Jamora on the list were Martin Angelo Zanoria from the Cebu Institute of Medicine (90.92 %), Roy Christopher Ang from Saint Louis University and Ernest Paggabao from the University of Santo Tomas who shared the third spot (90.58%), and University of Philippines- Manila's Ma Sergia Fatima Papiona Sucaldito (90.42%). Three examinees shared the fifth place with an average of 90.08. They were University of Philippines- Manila’s Ron Michael Labador Castillo, University of Santo Tomas' Luisa Intalan Encarnacion and De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute in Dasmariñas, Cavite’s Lloyd Christopher Santos Lim. Meanwhile, University of the Philippines-Diliman was named the top performing school for the October 2018 CPA board exam with a passing rate of 94.52 percent. Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start from November 19 to December 7, 2018.n will start from November 19 to December 7, 2018.
