Girls' Generation's Taeyeon to hold Manila concert in December

Award-winning Girls’ Generation leader Taeyeon will visit Manila for a concert next month. It will be the first time Taeyeon will hold a solo concert here. “‘s…Taeyeon Concert” is her third solo concert. Her first was “Butterfly Kiss” launched in July 2016 followed by “Persona” in May last year. The new concert tour kicked off at Jamsil Arena in Seoul, South Korea on Oct. 20 and 21 where Taeyeon performed about 20 songs including the new track “Here I Am.” Through the concert, Taeyeon wants to show another side of her as she highlights her musical “sensibility." Taeyeon debuted in Girls’ Generation in 2007 and in October 2015, she released her first solo album titled “I.” This was followed by “Why” in 2016 and first her studio album “My Voice” in February 2017 and “This Christmas: Winter is Coming” in December 2017. Last June, she released her third mini-album “Something New.” Throughout her career, Taeyeon has collected numerous solo awards including digital bonsang for “I” and “Rain,” disc bonsang for “My Voice” and best female artist at the Golden Disc Awards. She also won best female artist at the Mnet Asian Music Awards in 2015 and 2016.
