Viewers nationwide warmly received the pilot telecast of the first Filipino anime series “Barangay 143” last Oct. 21 after it won on its timeslot in nationwide ratings and trended on social media.

According to AGB Nielsen NUTAM overnight data (individuals), “Barangay 143” scored 4.4% in ratings compared to its rival program with only 3.2%.
The show’s official hashtag #Brgy143AngSimula was also the second top trending topic on Twitter after netizens shared their positive feedback on the anime produced by Synergy88 Entertainment Media Inc, August Media Holdings, TV Asahi, and ASI Studios.
The pilot telecast introduced basketball superstar Bren T. Park and how his family met an accident on their way to watch his game. Viewers also got a glimpse of the life of Coach B and Vicky.
Tonight, Bren faces the aftermath of the tragedy. But fate isn’t done with him yet because a revelation once again shakes him.
