Mader Sitang arrives in Manila, eyes movie with Vice Ganda

The Mader Sitang fever is on! Asia’s top transgender supermodel/lawyer Mader Sitang of Thailand, who is famous for her signature hair-flipping dance moves, arrived in Manila Friday afternoon, as she bares plans to retire in the Philippines and possibly do a movie with Ace comedian Vice Ganda soon. (ROBERT REQUINTINA) Hundreds of screaming fans welcomed Mader Sitang at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Paranaque who arrived at 2 p.m. Saturday. Then she proceeded to the H&H Makeover Salon at SM City North EDSA in Quezon City for his press conference. Mader Sitang, 56, unleashes her famous head-banging moves and skills as she walks at the airport and the hallways of SM North EDSA before cheering fans. She will stay in Manila from Oct. 19-22. Speaking through an interpreter, Mader Sitang announces that former Mr. Gay World finalist-businessman Wilbert Tolentino will now become her manager. "Mader Sitang will stay in the Philippines for a few days. In December, Mader Sitang will go to Europe for a series of shows and personal appearances,"says Tolentino, also founder of Web Marketers Specialist Association of the Philippines, Inc. (WEMSAP). Tolentino says Mader Sitang will go back to Thailand to finish her commitments there where is doing a movie and a teleserye right now. He adds: "After that, Mader Sitang will come back to the Philippines. She wants to settle here for good. That's why I will arrange his papers and other documents." With highest online followers in Bangkok, Mader Sitang will have a mind-blowing fun-fusion with her Filipino fans as she shows them her signature head-throw dance. One of her dance videos has already been viewed 16 million times on Youtube. Since then, many people have copied her style. Movie with Vice Ganda The Youtube sensation may also do a movie with Filipino star Vice Ganda who will soon sign up for the salon as endorser, Tolentino reveals. "Mader Sitang and Vice Ganda haven't met. After Vice Ganda has signed up for H&H Makeover Salon, then we will proceed with the movie project," he says. Tolentino also unveils a perfume collection - for men and women - called Simply Sitang. Moments before the press conference started at the salon, Tolentino and Mader Sitang threw P500 bills to the guests on several occasions. Asked where she gathers strength in doing head-banging, Made Sitang says: "I have strong knees! I drink a lot of milk and I exercise! I am a vegetarian and I pray a lot!" Mader Sitang, who is married for 12 years now, says she looks up to Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts among celebrities.
