By Armando Fenequito Jr. DAVAO CITY -- Resigned Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence 'Bong' Go denied rumors that he will be substituted by Presidential daughter and Davao City mayor Sara Duterte in the senatorial race in 2019.

He said the young Duterte already made up her mind not to run because she wants to continue her development projects in Davao City she started during her term. "Alam kong masaya si Mayor Sara sa pagsisilbi sa mga taga Davao at alam kong marami na siyang nasimulang mga proyekto sa Davao City. (I know that Mayor Sara is very happy to serve the people of the city and I know she started a lot of projects here), " he said. "Alam ko rin po na very satisfied po ang ating mga kababayan, kita niyo naman po ang maraming improvements dito sa Davao (I also know that the people in the city are vert satisfied as you can see there a lot of improvements here)," Go added. However, Go said in jest that he might do the idea of substitution by the time of the deadline on November 29. Earlier, the mayor denied that the filing for candidacy for vice mayor of her younger brother Sebastian is her preparation for her Senate bid through substitution. She reiterated that no substitution will happen because she wants to continue being city mayor.
