Facebook working on 'unsend' option

By MB Online While chatting with someone on Messenger, for some unexplained reason you managed to send a message that you didn’t mean to send (sort of like thinking out loud but in written form).

(REUTERS/Stephen Lam/File Photo) After it dawned on you that you don’t really want to send that message -- you realized that there is no way of undoing the past – because there is no way to ‘unsend’ a message. Oh no! Luckily for those who often make the mistake of sending messages they don’t mean to send, there is now an actual feature in the works that would make this option possible. Sometime in April, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg was reportedly able to delete old messages on Messenger which sparked controversy since “regular” users didn’t have that option. Facebook managed to appease users somewhat by eventually confirming that they were working on an “unsend” option. The feature however is still in its prototype stage but supposedly already being tested internally and may soon be part of the delete options for one of the most popular apps. The only catch is that you have to immediately press that unsend option as it is only going to be available for a certain period of time. With this new option you may not necessarily be able to undo the “past”, but at least insofar as Messenger is concerned have that power to take back possibly hurtful or regrettable messages that you didn’t really want to send in the first place.
