Waitress stabbed dead by customer
A waitress in a karaoke bar was allegedly stabbed by a drunk butcher after she refused to go out with him on Tuesday night in Tondo, Manila.
She later died in the hospital due to multiple stab wounds.
The police identified the victim as Aniceta Sialongo, a waitress at the Marina Videoke Bar and resident of Tanigue Street Dagat-dagatan, Caloocan City.
Case investigator PO3 Joel Jasareno identified the suspect as Robert Nocos, 21, single, jobless and resident of Bagong Silang, Davao City.
Cecilia Tamayo, 56, female, cashier at the same bar and resident of Juan Luna Street, Tondo Manila was also stabbed by the suspect .
She is recuperating at Mary Johnston Hospital.
Investigation showed that Sialongo was entertaining Nocos by drinking with him at the second floor of the bar when she suddenly complained that the suspect had made indecent moves on her.
Nocos reportedly left the bar, only to return a few minutes later armed with a knife and attacked Sialongo, before turning his ire on Tamayo.

Drunk nabbed for acts of lasciviousness
A 27-year-old man was arrested by police after allegedly touching a woman inappropriately while onboard a jeepney in Caloocan City.
According to a police report, Ivy Tumbado, 31, manager of a Korean restaurant, resident of Barangay 176, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City, was onboard a jeepney in the early hours of October 1 with the suspect, who was apparently drunk, as co-passenger.
She noticed the suspect glancing at her repeatedly but paid no heed to this. The suspect then asked the driver to stop along Libis Road.
But as he made his way to the exit of the jeepney, he reached out and grabbed the victim's left breast which prompted Tumbado to scream.
The suspect ran but was chased by concerned bystanders. Police identified the suspect as Genesis Sierra, merchandizer, resident of Doña Aurora Street, Area A, Barangay 175, Camarin, Caloocan City. He is facing charges on violation of acts of lasciviousness. (Minka Klaudia S. Tiangco)
Man commits suicide in Caloocan
A man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from an acacia tree in Caloocan City on Monday.
Police identified the victim as Alexander Baladad, store manager, resident of Manga Street, Barangay Camarin, Caloocan City.
According to a police report, a certain Rita Canlas saw the victim hanging from an acacia tree at Barangay 171, Bagumbong at about 2:45 p.m. She then alerted Baladad's relatives and barangay officials who took down the victim from the tree. (Minka Klaudia S. Tiangco)
Spa manager nabbed after threatening to release sex video with minor
A spa manager, who allegedly threatened a minor to post their sex video on social media if she refused to have sex with him again, was apprehended in an entrapment operation in Marikina City on Monday afternoon, a belated spot report showed.
Charles Morrison, 43, was collared by undercover policemen around 4:30 p.m. in Barangka, Marikina City.
The suspect, according to reports, even tried to evade arrest by speeding off in his car. He was eventually cornered by the police near the boundary of Marikina with Quezon City.
Seized inside his vehicle were two sex toys, five pieces of lubricants, a sachet of shabu, improvised tooter, and other drug paraphernalia.
Chief Insp. Benigno Meneses, Eastern Police District- Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (EPD-CIDG) head, said the 14-year-old victim and her father went to their office to report Morrison's threat on September 27. In the affidavit of the minor, she said that Morrison forcibly took her inside a motel in Pasig City on September 25.
The spa manager then sexually abused her, she said.
Her classmate introduced her to Morrison, Meneses said. The victim said Morrison sent him text messages a day after the incident, asking her to meet her again.
But, the teenager refused, prompting the suspect to threaten her that he would post their sex video on social media if she did not give in to his desire.
Morrison even reportedly sent screenshots of the video to the victim's classmates.
She has since stopped going to school. (Jel Santos)
Man suspected of killing 9-yr old stepdaughter
Police arrested a man who was tagged in the killing of his nine-year-old stepdaughter whose body was found nearly decomposed, naked and covered with stones in a vacant lot in Quezon City, Tuesday.
Investigators of the Quezon City Police District-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit identified the victim as Michaella Bernardino, a grade 4 student, and the suspect, Mark Cayetano, 24, residents of Lupang Pangako in Barangay Payatas B.
According to the victim's grandmother, the victim has been missing since Sunday (September 30) afternoon, prompting her to file her absence to the police.
Cayetano was arrested based on the testimony of a witness that she saw the suspect carrying Bernardino, who was then crying, on his shoulders at around 11:30 a.m. Monday.
When arrested and confronted by the police, Cayetano reportedly admitted to committing the crime.

'Rugby' sniffers arrested
Three women, who were found sleeping on the sidewalk were accosted by authorities conducting a anti-criminality campaign, and were found to have three bottles of rugby, early morning of Monday in Pasay City.
Police identified the suspects as Jay Ann Lucas,18, of 2164 P. Dandan St., Barangay 51 Zone 8, Pasay City; Mariel del Rosario, 18, and Crissalyn Buraga,18, both resident of Baclaran, Barangay 76 Zone 10, Pasay City.

Huge amount of money stolen from Dutch tourist after eating cookie from a theft suspect
Dutch tourist drugged, duped of P130,000
A Dutch tourist lost more than P130,000 in Manila last Friday after he was apparently drugged into revealing the details of his bank account.
Andor Smit, 34, of The Netherlands, said two Filipinas approached him at around 4 p.m. last September 28 and invited him to a night out.
Smit recounted that they partied until midnight and that while they were on their way back to his hotel, one of the suspects, named Berna, offered him a cookie.
However, after partaking of the cookie, Smit said immediately felt drowsy. And it was also at this point that he found himself voluntarily giving the suspects his ATM's password.
The women were able to withdraw €2092.32 or approximately P131,500 from his account.
They also took the P7,000 in cash that he had.
Aside from Berna, the others suspects were identified as Michelle Samanta Valiente alias “Cane”, 32, female, single, of Manila, who was also involved in another stealing incident against a Polish tourist at Rizal Park last August 16; Analyn Castro alias “Bea”; and, alias “Susa”.

Drug suspect nabbed in Luneta
Shabu worth P3.4 million was seized by agents of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) from a 19-year-old suspect in a buybust operation in Manila City, Wednesday afternoon.
PDEA-National Capital Region Office Director Joel Plaza said the arrest of Junior Manebpel, a resident of Luzon Avenue in Quezon City, was the result of a two-month surveillance against the suspect.
Manebpel, who was presented at the PDEA-NCRO Headquarters on Wednesday, was allegedly a known supplier to street-level illegal drug pushers in Metro Manila, Plaza said.

Senior citizen nabbed for alleged drug trade
A senior citizen was arrested early morning Wednesday for allegedly selling illegal drugs.
Operatives from the Moriones Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) collared Edgar Madamba, Sr., 62, single, and plaque maker, inside his home at 1749, Barangay 310 along C.M. Recto Avenue, Sta. Cruz, Manila while conducting an anti-criminality patrol in the area at about 1:45 a.m. on October 3.
Aside from Madamba, the police also nabbed his companions namely Cherry Mesa, 38, and Rachel Dillague alias “Iday”, 22, both single, jobless, and also residing in the above-mentioned address.
Four small packs believed to contain “shabu” and suspected drug money worth P400 were seized as evidence by the authorities.
Record showed that the suspects were not under the drug watchlist.
They are now detained, facing charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 under Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Ria Fernandez)
