The first-ever ABS-CBN Ball held over the weekend displayed old Hollywood glamor like the Oscars. The moment the stars graced the highly-anticipated red carpet event, there was no shortage of oohhs and ahhs.
But beyond the wow, the event was all for charitable cause. The ABS-CBN Ball aimed to raise funds and bring attention to the programs of Bantay Bata 163, specifically the re-launch of its Children’s Village in Norzagaray, Bulacan, following this year’s tagline “Share The Love.”
The belles
Liza Soberano led the best-dressed pack that night, wearing an Alexander McQueen skin-tone hued beaded dress. The “Darna” star put a spin to her hairstyle by combining wavy locks and wispy bangs in contrast to her overall look.

Pia Wurtzbach was a head-turner in her body-hugging gold gown. It had high slit that showed off her long legs without “showing it all.” She finished the look with highlights on her long wavy hair. Many agreed she looked a Barbie doll, with boyfriend Marlon Stockinger as her Ken.
Catriona Gray slayed the red carpet wearing a sparkling silver gown that emphasized her curves.
Kim Chiu and rumored boyfriend Xian Lim complemented each other’s look, wearing outfits in butterflies and florals motif.
Known to be daring and edgy, Arci Muñoz sported bright-pink hair color and wore this tight-fitting dress.
It was in 2010 when Anne Curtis last graced the ball’s red carpet so she was definitely missed. Thanks to her look – a princess-like ball gown with a heavenly tiara – made her worth the wait.
Young star Kisses Delavin wowed in her sequined lavender gown, while Erich Gonzales oozed elegance in an off-shoulder white gown.
Sue Ramirez looked like she was Hollywood-ready with her deep old rose gown. Her short, sleek hair spelt sexy and elegant from every angle.
Thinking about being sexy, hot, yet classy? Draw inspiration from Jessy Mendiola and Yassi Pressman. The former wore a halter serpentina gown, while the latter donned a classic, flowy red skirt that made her look Anastasia Steel.
Kathryn Bernardo was the epitome of elegance in simplicity in wearing a satin white gown that exposed her back.
Julia Barretto was one of the most daring stars that night. She wore a “super” short, sexy pink dress that was said to be inspired by Paris Hilton’s iconic birthday dress.
Other female stars who displayed glitz and glamour were Maymay Entrata, Janella Salvador, Jodi Sta. Maria, Sofia Andres, Angel Locsin, Bela Padilla, Cristine Reyes, Denise Laurel, Gretchen Ho, Kiana Valenciano, Kylie Verzosa, Nicole Cordoves, and Ariella Arida.
The boys
Piolo didn’t need much else to make people notice him. His handsome face and “mabango” look were enough to make the girls swoon.
Richard Gutierrez went for retro look. He dressed in a black tuxedo with perfectly coiff.
The Santiago brothers namely Rowell, Reily, Randy and Raymart, donned traditional tuxedos, meaning with crisp white shirts and black bowties.
THE SANTIAGO BROTHERS
Jericho Rosales’ pink suit was amazing. He’s hot, period.
Other handsome gents who graced the event were JM de Guzman, Ian Veneracion, Coco Martin, Iñigo Pascual, Edward Barber, Albert Martinez, Patrick Garcia, Arjo Atayde, Ryan Bang, Vhong Navarro, Ogie Alcasid, Kit Thompson, Darren Espanto, and Martin Nievera.
Comedy actor Vice Ganda donned a long dress with stained glass design from Michael Cinco’s “The Impalpable Dream of Sainte Chapelle Collection.” Vice literally needed the help of two people to carry his dress.
An “unkabogable” himself, he had dark lips and bold eyes as makeup. He sported long blond hair set by a crown of thorns.
