A printable version complete with visuals by Annette Kim is downloadable from http://erickimphotography.com. And now to our featured readers with three new photo contributors. Christine Deysolong, an OFW based in Dubai sent in the photo titled “Majestic Sunset in Seljalandsfoss” taken in Iceland. “I started enjoying photography in 2015, using only my mobile phone,” Cristine writes. “I’m more into capturing the beauty of nature in most places I visit. It was my first time in Iceland and I became so in love with the country, and looking forward to go back next year.” The untitled macro photo of a butterfly comes from Jude Russell Paraico, a Grade 12 student at Koronadal National High School. The photo was sent over by Rojen Basco, his photographer buddy. Rojen, who has already been featured in this column writes: “An aspiring macro photographer who always amazes me with his shots of nature and the bizarre creation of God. I hope it can be featured in your column. I secretly sent this photo of him and he will be surprised if it will be featured.” Kathleen Mae Ancheta shares an untitled photo taken in Binondo, Manila during Chinese New Year. “Upon observing the people roaming around the busy streets of Binondo, this old couple captured my attention, and it is really proven that true love lasts forever,” writes Kathleen. Other photos on today’s page come from previously featured readers, some of whom regularly send their images to this column. Reymart Sefuentes took a photo of the first sunrise of 2018 (New Year Sunrise) in Sablig, Anda, Pangasinan. From Ramil Gregorio is “1st Sunset of 2018,” a photo of a fisherman resting on his boat by the beach silhouetted against the setting sun. “Morning Layers” comes from Jan Rudielee Gadiano. He shares: “This photo was taken on our way to the summit of Mt. Kalugong, La Trinidad, Benguet. Beyond grateful to have witnessed this divine beauty. I wish I could see more of this.” Mhikie Manzanares contributed the photo, “Madonna and Child.” “This photo, which I titled Madonna and Child was taken last October in a local museum,” he writes. “I think silhouette is my style when it comes to photography. I like playing with lights and capturing contrast. This photo is so symbolic and simple.” Oliver Co submitted the night photo, “The View of Taiwan at Taipei 101.” He took the picture with a smartphone. And from Timothy John Tugade is “Dapit Hapon,” taken in Abucay, Bataan using a mobile. Reprinted today is a photo from last week’s column titled “Unibersidad ng Pilipinas” by Muhammad Haykal Lorena which was mistakenly attributed to a different sender.   Readers may now view issues of Picture Perfect including this column at www.mb.com.ph.
