Round three of the 2018 World Slasher Cup Invitational 9-Cock Derby gets underway today at the historic Smart Araneta Coliseum with another batch of 100 participants.
Close to 5,000 aficionados witnessed the grand opening last Monday, according to Araneta’s Dong Lamoste. Supported by Excellence Poultry & Livestock Specialists and PitGames Media, Inc. CEO Manny Berbano, the derby will run until Feb. 7.

Craig Miller and John Rawlins of Wisconsin (Philbilies LSU), Butch Cambra of Hawaii (Bloodline Onipa NM Kanlaon) and Fil Am Rene Medina (Arayat 2) posted two wins each. Veteran Biboy Enriquez, part of Araneta’s Pintakasi of Champions since the 60s, led the locals with two victories.
Other two pointers are Rep. Patrick Antonio and Anthony Marasigan, Jojo Alcovendaz, Boy Gamilla, Rep.
