Lance Raymundo is back with new song “#YATO” that he said sees him become the artist he’s always wanted to be. Lance Raymundo From doing upbeat songs in the past, the singer-songwriter quietly enters the room this time with an acoustic number. “The truth is, this is how I really sound,” he explained in Filipino. “So now I’m just going to have a sincere song out because I’m more comfortable with myself.” The song is based on personal experience. “I wrote it for my ex-girlfriend when we were still together but now she’s happily married,” he shared. “But back then, I really thought she’s the one for me. With this song, I choose to look back at the memories when we were both happy.” He stressed though that he has moved on a long time ago. “I guess we’re not just meant to be. I think whenever your relationship ends, at the end of the day, it’s just because you’re not meant to be,” he expounded. But what does “YATO” mean for him? “Finding someone who makes you happy, who makes you feel like you’re home. It’s finding your destiny but with no pressure because you enjoy the moment even if you’re single,” he said. The new version of “#YATO” comes with a music video starring Lance and Janna Victoria. Some scenes seemingly reference the accident the singer-actor had at the gym which required him to undergo major reconstructive surgery. Lance with his brother Rannie (Photo from Rannie’s Instagram) “It was a privilege for me to relive that in this video because that thing that happened in my life inspired a lot of people to rise above hardships,” he shared. “I have since gotten over the trauma of that incident and I’m just happy to be alive.” Lance is signed with Viva group of companies. “They are taking great care of me. Even when I had just got with them last year, I was immediately cast in ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,’ then I had a role on ‘Since I Found You,’” he said. For now, the artist focuses on his music. Lance is working on another song for release early next year.
