A total of 760 millimeter of rainfall was recorded during the onslaught of Ompong in the city, causing widespread flooding.
The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) said that as of Tuesday, ten people have been killed as a direct result of the typhoon in the city. There are four other people missing in landslides, the CDRRMC added.
Health Day reset
Meanwhile, the damage wrought by the typhoon has prompted the postponement of the Baguio Day Health Fair originally set last Saturday.
Dr. Rowena Galpo who heads the Health Services Office deemed it prudent to move the event to September 22 on the City Hall grounds.
Despite the tragic events of late, Galpo enjoined local residents and visitors to participate in the whole-day activity that will feature booths on hands-on CPR training, hand washing, reflexology, counselling, blood-letting, eye refraction, ventosa, dipstick, screening, yoga, grooming, dental services and more.
