DOLE urges job seekers to check out PhilJobNet

By Analou De Vera The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is encouraging job seekers to check PhilJobNet, the government's official job search portal, as they posted job vacancies in the business process outsourcing (BPO), sales, and food service industries. (MANILA BULLETIN) (MANILA BULLETIN) The labor department said that there are 4,173 vacancies in the BPO sector, particularly for call center agents. There are 4,616 vacancies in the sales sector while 835 vacancies in the food service industry. The vacant positions in the sales industry are for promo salespersons (1,588), customer service assistants (666), cashiers (409), retail/ wholesale establishment salespersons (325), sales associate professionals (291), retail trade salesmen (254), market salespersons (245), sales clerks (220), salesmen (218), stall salespersons (200), and real state salesmen (200). For the food service industry, the job vacancies available are for service crews (380), cooks (231), and food servers (224). Other job vacancies posted in PhilJobNet include domestic helpers (644), staff nurses (476), construction laborers (404), baggers (225) and carpenters (204). "For more job vacancies and other employment facilitation services, job seekers and employers may log on to http://philjobnet.gov.ph," the DOLE stated.
