Ospital ng Imus opens October 12

By Anthony Giron IMUS, Cavite - The Ospital ng Imus, the first public hospital in this historical capital city, will open its doors to the public on October 12, the feast day of the miraculous Nuestra Señora del Pilar (Our Lady of the Pillar), the city's queen patroness. The new hospital is one of the most modern in Cavite.

City Government of Imus (Facebook) Third District (Imus) Representative Alex L. Advincula, the project proponent, said that the hospital and the nearby national high school (NHS) buildings, the grandstand and the sports oval were built for the city residents. The NHS buildings are now operational. The national government allocated funds for the construction of the school buildings and hospital on Pedro Reyes Street in Barangay Malagasang I-G. It was Advincula who sought the budget in Congress to make the district’s projects a reality. The P7.2 billion national government share was the biggest so far for Imus District. The budget portion had built the new hospital, 834 new public schoolrooms, the Daanghari Road-Aguinaldo Highway By-Pass Road, the first flyover in Imus set to open in December this year, the Bucandala-Alapan Road and the river ripraps, among others. The P205 million three-storey public hospital, with a floor area of 4,000 square meters, has 38 charity wards and 10 private rooms. Doctors, nurses and consultants, including specialists, would be available for the day-to-day services.
