Police hunt down alleged drug lord in Pandacan
Police are hunting down a man who is allegedly the main source of illegal drugs in Pandacan, Manila.
Pandacan Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) chief Senior Insp. Pidencio T. Saballo said most of the drug suspects they arrested in their district pointed at Miguel Bautista alias “Demonyo” as their supplier of “shabu.”
On August 29, 2018, cops conducted a buy-bust operation at Queensland Hotel in Sta. Mesa, targeting Bautista.
However, they failed to capture the “elusive” suspect.
“Lumalabas sa follow-up namin na ito palang mga bell boy o room boy sa hotel sa Queensland e nagtitimbre, parang kasabwat…kaya natatakasan kami (Our follow-up revealed that bell boys or room boys in Queensland Hotel were accomplices .They alerted him that’s why he was able to escape,” Saballo said.
Based on investigation, Bautista is getting his supply from a certain “Bakla” described as notorious from Antipolo City.
Meanwhile, “Bakla” is said to be an underling of a Chinese national, whom the police are yet to identify.
“Iyon po naririnig ng mga nahuli namin…kaso ‘di pa namin abot. Siguro ‘pag nakuha namin si Bautista maabot namin yung pinaka-ano (That’s what our arrested drug suspects heard…however, we are yet able to . Maybe if we get Bautista we will be able to the top ),”Saballo said.
At least nine individuals, including a 70-year-old grandmother, had been arrested by Pandacan Police in its recent anti-narcotic operations. (Ria Fernandez)
