During his meeting with around 1,400 members of the Filipino here, Duterte said that he has yet to hear anything negative about the working conditions overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Israel. "I would also like to say thank you for hosting so many of my countrymen in the State of Israel and that… I have yet to hear any na problema manggaling man sa ano-anong klaseng Pilipino nandito (problem from the Filipinos here)," he said. "I would like to say with gratitude sa (to) Israel for inviting me and for being good to my countrymen (he added). Duterte lauded Israel as one of the best places he has been to and even jested that he might send all Filipinos to Holy Land because of how good the government treats Filipinos. "It behooves upon me to see to it na ‘yung mga kababayan kong Pilipino (that my fellow Filipinos) are in the best of health and in a state of living na maganda (which is quite good)," he said. "One of the best places that we have to… And I don’t mind isa sa pinakamagandang lugar na pwede mo talagang mapuntahan (that it is one of the best places you can go to) and you are treated as a human being," he added. "Kaya if hindi naman minasama (So if Israel would not take it the wrong way), if it does not really a wrong proposal, pardon me, but if Israel would want, ipadala ko na lahat ang Pilipino dito kasi mas maganda ang buhay dito (I would send all Filipinos here because life is good here)," he continued. Duterte then told OFWs in Israel that they are far better in the Holy Land compared to OFWs in other Middle Eastern countries where they experience abuse. "You are better off than the your --- the rest of your brothers and sisters in this region," he said. "Mababait ito sila sa atin (They are so kind to us)," he added. Duterte also said that it is important to him to know that Filipinos in the Middle East are in the best of health and is living quite a good life. Meanwhile, Duterte also recognized Israel's assistance to the Philippines during the five-month war in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur last year. "They provided the most of the intelligence gadgets that we used to win the Marawi siege. Galing ito sa kanila (Those came from them). And they have provided us so many to keep our country in order and peaceful," he said.
