P5.45M worth of drugs seized in separate buy-bust ops

By Minka Klaudia Tiangco Four separate drug busts conducted in Valenzuela, Quezon City, and Bulacan yielded about P5.45 million worth of drugs. Arrested were Ronald Allan Isip, 35; Steven Laloy, 18; John Reuben Bisonaya; all residents of Valenzuela City; Arjay Samporna; Johari Mauna; and Patang Mauna; all residents of Bulacan; and all jobless. Elements of the Northern Police District (NPD) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) conducted the buy-bust operations on Friday, Aug. 31. At about 6 a.m., police arrested Steven Laloy at Lorex Street, Tañada , Gen. T. De Leon, Valenzuela City after he sold one sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer. The sachet weighed about 0.4 grams and has an estimated street value of P500. Police retrieved the marked money and four sachets of suspected shabu, each weighing about 0.4 grams, and with an estimated value of P10,880. Later, at about 7:30 a.m., a certain Ronald Allan Isip was nabbed by elements of the DDEU at 14A Ruby St., Tandang Sora Quezon City. A poseur buyer bought one sachet of suspected shabu from Isip, weighing about 5 grams and worth about P11,000. Recovered from the suspect were 19 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 95 grams and worth P680,000. Alleged drug personalities Arjay Sampora and John Reuben Bisonaya were arrested after selling one bag of suspected shabu that weighs 100 grams and is worth P220,000. The two were apprehended at Lot 26, Block 16, Pandi Heights II, Cacarong Matanda, Pandi, Bulacan at about 8:30 a.m. One bag of suspected shabu weighing 200 grams and worth P1,360,000, and buy-bust money were retrieved from the suspects. The last sting was conducted at about 9:30 a.m. at Lot 24, at Lot 24, Block 35, Pandi Heights II, Cacarong Matanda, Pandi, Bulacan and resulted to the arrests of Johari Mauna and Patang Mauna. The pair sold one bag of suspected shabu weighing 100 grams and worth P220,000 to a poseur buyer. Police retrieved four bags of suspected shabu weighing 500 grams and worth P3,400,000, one brown body bag, drug paraphernalia, and buy-bust money from the suspects. All six suspects will be subjected to a drug test. Cases for violation of Section 5 and Section 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165 are being prepared for filing against the suspects.
