CAMP DIEGO SILANG, La Union – Four notorious carnappers were arrested by the authorities after they were reported by a carnap victim at Barangay Camp 1, Rosario, La Union reported Saturday.
Senior Superintendent Ricardo Layug, Jr., La Union police regional director, identified the suspects Orlando Hernandez, Jr., native of Sison Pangasinan and recently resides at Dasmariñas, Cavite; Albert Hipolito, resident of Tandang Sora, Quezon City; Edwin Trinidad, resident of Lamesa St. Valenzuela City; and John Paul Tolentino, resident of Talipapa, Quezon City.
All were arrested by Rosario Police Station and Highway Patrol Group after it was reported by a certain Alvin Macalam, of Tanza Cavite, one of the suspect’s victim.
5 pieces sachets of alleged marijuana, 5 pieces live ammunitions of cal. 45, 1 grenade, and several fake identifications cards were found in the suspects.
Police of this station filed cases aside of carnapping, they also being filed for estafa and falsification of public documents.
According Layug said that these groups were involved in a series of carnap in several areas.
All suspect at the custody of police station with filling cases of Dangerous Drugs Act, illegal possession of ammunition and explosives, and carnapping.
