Discover the deeper and anonymous side of the internet through the newest thriller film “Unfriended: Dark Web”.
Unlike the 2015 Unfriended, the stand-alone sequel “Unfriended: Dark Web” unfolds the seedier and darker sides of the internet.
Told in real-time on computer screens, the film tells the story of a barista named Matias (Colin Woodell) who discover files containing strange video footages on the laptop he found in his coffee shop’s lost and found.
While on a traditional “game night” group Skype with his friends, Matias began receiving messages from the owner’s Facebook account and later found out that someone’s tracking him and his friends down.
It was supposed to be all fun and games until uninvited mysterious entities pops up and start making threats against them and everything went out of control.
The Unfriended: Dark Web also stars Andrew Lees, Connor Del Rio, Savira Windyani, Rebecca Rittenhouse, and Betty Gabriel.
Directed by The Grudge screenwriter Steven Sucso, Unfriended: Dark Web is set to premiere on August 8 exclusively at SM Cinemas.
