HyunA, Pentagon's E'Dawn confirmed to be dating

K-pop stars HyunA and Pentagon’s E’Dawn have been in a relationship for two years. They were involved in dating rumors but Cube Entertainment, their agency, initially denied it. HyunA confirmed the rumor in an Instagram post. HyunA, 26, and E’Dawn, 24, got close when they performed together her song “Roll Deep” on “M Countdown” in 2015. “We've been going out with each other for two years. We know this would result in some kind of labeling, but we thought it would be hard to look straight into the eyes of our fans (without being honest). So we decided to be honest with our loving and supporting fans and come to the stage with confidence,” said the two, according to Yonhap News. According to HyunA, they started dating in May 2016 after meeting E’Dawn when he was a trainee. "We entered into a relationship as we worked together for music pieces," she said. "We've been talking a lot about music and started to compose songs together. Although he did not appear on the credits lists of my albums, E'Dawn has been helpful with the details.” E’Dawn said he was worried about the negative effect of their relationship becoming public. "I was sorry for any influence (the disclosure of our relationship) could have on our team, so I told the other member about this,” he said. "I am also sorry for our fans, but I will make up for this by putting more efforts into our music performances." Hui was not spared by the dating rumors. A photo of him and girl group (G)I-DLE’s Soojin circulated online. Cube Entertainment said the two have already broken up. Pentagon is a 10-member boy band that debuted in 2016.
